FIREWOOD

We supply Seasoned Dry Hardwood
for the East Clare catchment area

The firewood is from managed woods where thinning is carried out in a controlled manner with felling licences, for the purposes of improving the final crop of trees. We use the thinnings while the final crop is grown on to produce timber for furniture and construction.

The firewood is sold by volume
in either bulk bags (0.8 m3 to 1.3 m3 bags)
or in trailer or lorry loads (3 m3 to 8 m3 loads)

Also we can supply
hot house seasoned firewood for even better heat performance. This firewood is chopped in early summer and put into a hot house to dry to between
15% and 20% moisture content by mid autumn.

The benefits of seasoned 1+ year Hardwood include:

• Good heat value
• Less tar in your chimney
• Cleaner burning in your stove and less accumulation of soot on the glass on your stove
• It replaces imported oil and leaves money in the local community
• You can get rid of the TV and watch the firewood burn instead- it might be better than a lot of the stuff on TV
